Property Description:
The quiet, pleasant and rustic village of Beurizot is situated less than 10 minutes drive north of the market town of Pouilly en Auxois and Vitteaux. The village location offers good access to the A6 autoroute for Paris, the south of France, and the Alpine ski resorts. The regions capital, Dijon, is easily reached by autoroute in less than 35 minutes and here you can shop, experiment with local food at the food market - Les Halles - and admire the culture and architecture of some of France's finest Château's and historical buildings. The Burgundy Canal passes through the village and you can walk or cycle along the tow path to the bakers in the next village. The cycle path continues south to Dijon.
Local attractions include; Dijon with its Museums, character town houses, garden and parks. Try Dijon market; "les halles" for culinery delights. Nearby are the Canal side town of Pouilly en Auxois with good general commerce and restaurants and the medieval town of Semur en Auxois with historical buildings and good general commerce. The world famous vineyards of Chablis, Beaune and Nuits st George are easily accessible.
The property comprises two separate houses; a one bedroom (house 1) and 2 bedroom house (House 2). Together they sleep 6 persons and offer the ideal situation for a 2 family holiday. Possible to rent separately.
House 1:
Recently refurbished stone cottage and comprises a ground floor entrance to a living and kitchen area. In this area, there is a corner kitchen with fitted floor units and a sitting/dining area with access to the garden. On the upper floor is a spacious and bright bedroom (double bed) with a sitting area, shower room and toilet. Heating is by a wood burning stove and electric convector's.
House 2:
Converted building comprising of a ground floor entrance to a living and kitchen area. In this area, there is a corner kitchen with fitted floor and wall units and a sitting/dining area with access to the garden. Shower room and toilet. The upper floor has two bedrooms. Heating is by a wood burning cooking stove and electric convector's.
Both houses have washing machines and TV with UK satellite channels. Telephone and internet connection available 8 mega broadband.
The garden is to the front and side and is planted with mature fruit trees, shrubs, and flowers. A brick BBQ is located on the terrace. Garden table, chairs and parasol supplied.
Bed Linen and towels are available at an additional cost.
